Original Rolls-Royce & Bentley 1946-65: The Restorer’s Guide to the ‘standard’ saloons and mainstream coachbuilt derivatives
The two decades between 1945 and 1965 saw some remarkable motor cars emerge from the new Rolls-Royce factory at Crewe. The Mark VI Bentley was the first model to be built entirely by Rolls-Royce, using a body supplied by Pressed Steel, although coachbuilt cars were still available. The Rolls-Royce Silver Dawn version followed in 1949, this and its Bentley sister both receiving 'big boot' bodies in 1952. Meanwhile the 120mph Continental appeared. The entirely new Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud and Bentley S-series, almost identical to each other, arrived in 1955, and from 1959 a V8 was installed. By their side, coachbuilt S-series Continentals continued. Original Rolls-Royce & Bentley 1946-65 is the essential companion to these cars. The aim of this book is to reveal, in words and color photographs, how the various models altered through the course of production. Drawing on factory records, parts lists, catalogs and other data, the author has provided a meticulous survey of the standard steel cars built at Crewe. Over 250 specially commissioned color photographs, showing the detail changes to these cars, accompany the authoritative text.

Pacific Coast Highway: 2066 Miles from Seattle to Tijuana
Route 101, the Pacific Coast Highway, commissioned in 1926, follows the path taken by the first Spanish explores of the West Coast, and incorporates El Camino Real, the historic thoroughfare built to link California's twenty-one missions. In some areas, reconstruction and freeway development have diverted the modern 101 from its old alignment; but this book traces the original road, providing detailed directions and mileage for drivers. The layout will be similar to the one used in Nick Freeth's Route 66: Main Street USA. A prologue, outlining the Pacific Coast Highway's pre-twentieth century history, is followed by chapters giving a comprehensive guide to each section of the toad (traveling north-south). These examine 101's natural beauty that has made it what it is. Every chapter includes features focusing on places of special interest; and there will also be Voice of the Road spreads profiling the highway's key personalities, as well as numerous quotations from authors, poets and songwriters who have been inspired by it. Specially created maps will parallel the text, and the book concludes with an extensive resources section, giving contact addresses and website details for road-related organizations and en route attractions.

Patina: How to Create & Preserve
There was a time when a heavily weathered collector car or truck was considered a bit of an eyesore. In fact, if you brought one of these vehicles to a car show more than likely you would receive grief for showing a car with faded paint and surface rust. But not anymore. The era of patina on vehicles has been fully embraced, and rightfully so.
Currently the genre is ripe with creation. Kevin Tetz of Paintucation has delivered the first book ever on the many variables involved with patina. In step-by-step format, Kevin walks you through creating patina from existing paint, preserving - already there - patina, and painting patina (steel, plastic, glass). Each process is unique and requires its own set of skills, procedures, and tools.
With tens of millions of potential projects to consider, finding the right car or truck to patina shouldn't be a problem. And now with Patina: How to Create & Preserve you will have the perfect book to guide you through the patina process.
